Lower Hunter Region, NSW - August 5, 2019

Large amounts of blue green algae have been found in Chichester Dam, all residents north of the Dungog Water Treatment Plant are urged not to drink the water.
Hunter Water said in an email to affected residents that raw water should not be consumed, and that they would be 'reimbursed for the cost of buying bottled water.'

Cherbourg, QLD - July 5, 2019

A boil water alert has been placed for the town of Cherbourg. All residents are advised to boil all drinking water until notified by the council otherwise. Residents should be sure to boil any water for drinking, brushing teeth, washing/preparing food, preparing baby formula, making ice and bathing infants.
Unboiled water could lead to illness, especially for children and the elderly.
